Sounds simple enough, right? Most online retailers and shops have clearance sections. The trick is navigating through their homepage to find it.
Typing “/Clearance” after the site’s address can be one way to get you to the best buys.
Perusing clearance sections works well if you still don’t know what to get that special someone in your life. After all, shopping for men can be tricky.
Think about the kinds of things he’s into — like sports or pro wrestling. Then, go to those sites and see what they offer. If you need some ideas, learn more about what’s available right now.
2. Shop on December 26
This works if you won’t be visiting with the person/people you’re shopping for on the holiday itself. But, if you’re traveling the week after Christmas, or plan on seeing your family on New Year’s Eve, this works perfectly.
Most retailers drop their prices on December 26th. You’ll be able to scoop up a great deal as they try to usher out their holiday inventory.
If you’re looking to buy electronics, clothes, or even holiday decor after Christmas is the time to do it.
3. Buy More Than One Item
Buying more than one item from an online retailer usually means you qualify for free shipping. Now, you don’t need to buy five of the same sweater — although, it never hurts to have an accessory in more than one color!
But if you can, try shopping for five loved ones on the same site. If you can find something for everyone, you just saved yourself from paying five different shipping charges.
4. Don’t Use Holiday Wrapping Paper
For many people, wrapping presents and tying it up with a pretty bow is one of the best parts of gift exchanges. You can still do that, but bypass the holiday wrapping!
Sure, designer holiday wrapping paper, bags, tissue paper look nice, but they’re often more expensive. Instead, try finding plain colors like red or green paper or bags. If you want to spruce it up, buy a roll of fancy ribbon from a fabric store’s site.
When you buy these items online, you can often buy them in larger quantities. This means you can use them for birthdays and other gifts throughout the year.

Most people think that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the only two holiday sale days in the season. But, you can find great deals leading up to — and even past — December 25th. You just need to know how to be a frugal shopper!
