To switch it up, we’re trading trousers for suiting shorts or skirts. We’re expecting to see suits that are bold in color and incorporating a more feminine edge. In terms of color, we foresee plenty of neutrals that are joined by bold pops of neon.
2. Neon
This spring, we’re looking forward to witnessing an inescapable influx of neon colors.
We’re talking anything from neon orange to neon yellow. So long as it resembles a highlighter, it’s going to be in this season. As for pairing, we’re seeing it accompanied by basic neutrals and all-white-everything.
For spring, in particular, we foresee a flood of neon rainwear. Be it neon boots or a bright neon jacket, this neon hue is certainly the best way to keep dry this spring.
For the moms out there, remember that this neon trend is not just limited to adult wear. In fact, there are plenty of kids clothes that incorporate the neon trend as well! This spring, we are matching for the win.
3. Crochet
In previous years, we used to reserve our crochet clothing for beach trips and hot-weather destinations.
This year, we’re taking all of our favorite crochets out of hiding and even adding a few to our shopping list. Between crochet dresses, tops and even vests, Spring 2019 has made it a mission to bring back crochet.
So far as colors, we’re seeing lots of neutral earth tones that feature bold pops of color.
4. Jumpsuits
This spring, we are all about that jumpsuit.
There’s no denying that jumpsuits were incredibly popular in 2018. While that fact is certainly not about to change, we are foreseeing a sharp change in the jumpsuit as we know it.
While 2018 favored a more minimal approach, 2019 is all about incorporating a bold jumpsuit into your wardrobe. Be it an eye-popping color scheme, contrasting patterns or bold zippers, the 2019 edition of the jumpsuit is sure to require some nerve.
5. Trouser Shorts
Here in 2019, we’re shifting the focus to practicality when it comes to our short game.
This year, we’re all in for the trouser short: this is a long, tailored short that cuts at the knee. Not only will this make shorts more accessible to all women, but it also makes for an elegant and sophisticated edge.
Try opting for a high-waist trouser and finish it off with a sleek, leather belt. From here, we’re opting for a simple blouse with a tuck. This is the best form of simplicity and sophistication on a sunny, spring day.
6. Animal Print
Sure, we’ve seen a huge sea of animal print on the shelves in 2018.
But, come Spring 2019, animal print is going to be everywhere. We’re anticipating animal print to be matched with other bold patterns such as floral and stripes. We also foresee animal prints such as leopard being incorporated minimally into more plain options such as white blouses and one-toned dresses.
This spring, we are certainly not shying away from a playful animal print!
7. Earth Tones
This spring, we are taking it back to head-to-toe neutrals. This calls for anything between beige and sand to cream tones and light khaki.
Where are we seeing these neutrals? While there are no rules to neutrals this season, we are seeing spring neutrals favor jumpsuits and jackets.
Not only are earth tones incredibly easy to coordinate, but they’re also flattering on the majority of people. Whether you have a dark skin tone or a fair skin tone, it’s safe to say that there’s an earth tone that was born for you.
8. Statement Feathers
When we said that animal print is back, this wasn’t just limited to leopard print bags and snakeskin shoes. In 2019, we’re taking the animal-themed print just one step further: all feather everything.
Last season, high-fashion was all about that fur. As we progress into 2019, we’re seeing a step back from the fur and step toward feather.
If the thought of incorporating feathers into your wardrobe feels intimidating, don’t fret. Remember, you can start slow by integrating feathers into your accessories. The best way to do so is through your bag, hats or even shoes.
9. Top Handle Bags
When it comes to our accessories, we’re seeing a major transition in the handbag department. While 2018 saw plenty of oversize luggage, 2019 is all about minimalism.
In particular, we’re projecting a sea of top handle bags. Be it a simple leather strap or a plastic triangle, the top-handle is going to be huge this season. It’s safe to report that a minimalist, top-handle bag is going to be the “it” accessory of 2019.
