1. Isle of Palms

2. Surfside Beach

Surfside Beach is one of the top destinations for families. Immerse yourself with long, white-sand beaches and a popular boardwalk. This beach is also a popular destination for fishing.

3. Myrtle Beach

This is probably the most famous beach in South Carolina, for very good reason. It’s the perfect family vacation spot. You can find just about any activity, so you’ll never run out of things to do.

4. Edisto Beach

If you want a quieter, laid-back vacation, you may want to check out Edisto Beach. Located about 45 minutes from Charleston, Edisto is one of the most peaceful beach towns. It’s a great spot for everyone including families, couples, or even single travelers.

Enjoy some local cuisine at area restaurants like the Post Office. You can go camping, search for shells, or try to catch a fish.

5. Kiawah Island

Kiawah is also close to Charleston. It is famous for its natural beauty. The biggest sites on the island are sand dunes, preserved marshes, and Maritime forests. 

You’ll find only one public beach on the island, which is great for swimming. You can find a wide variety of restaurants, snack bars, and shops. You can also explore Beachwalker Park. 

6. Folly Beach
